Despite several decades of <br>progress of the plantation industry in our country, plantation labourers have remained less <br>developed and isolated. Despite all legislative measures, plantation labourers are still <br>marginalized and vulnerable. Their problems of low wages, ignorance on basic financial <br>concepts and financial risk, indebtedness and poor financial health remain unaddressed and <br>overlooked. The present study examines the situation of persistent indebtedness among tea <br>plantation labourers in Peermade in the sustainable development context.</p> |
