  • <p><span>The enhancement of conservative attitudes in the USA and the leading European states is permanently reflected on the rest of the world. These changes also affect Georgia as a country integrated in the world economy, which has been trying to fulfil all the membership requirements after obtaining the status of the EU candidate state.</span></p> <p><span>For Georgia, which is an ancient country with longstanding historical traditions, the turning of the liberal vector of development towards conservatism will be an undoubtedly positive event, because this enables the traditional nations with small population to preserve their identity, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, continue modernization of economy and implement innovations. The methodological basis for economic conservatism embraces stable development and traditional values</span><span>, since stability yields perspective, which, in its turn, yields opportunities.</span></p> <p><span>Based on the data of the Georgian National Statistics Office, the paper analyzes certain social-economic indicators in the country. These indicators will outline the contours of the new economic policy i.e. the way that Georgia has to pass from liberalism to modernized conservatism.</span></p>
