contents <p><i>Amphiareus constrictus</i> (Stṏl, 1860)</p><p>(Heteroptera: Anthocoridae) is a cosmopolitan species and is distributed in the Americas, North and tropical Africa, Turkey, the Eastern Palaearctic, Australia and Oceania. Concerning the Canary Islands (Spain), the most proximate records of the species are from the island of Madeira (Portugal) and from Morocco (PÉRICART, 1996; AUKEMA & HERMES, 2009; ÇERÇİ & KOÇAK, 2017). <i>A. constrictus</i> was introduced to the Netherlands (AUKEMA & HERMES, 2009).</p><p><b>Now, <i>A. constrictus</i> can be reported from the Canary Islands, too: On 26-01-2024, an adult specimen (Fig. 1) was found in El Jardín, located near Los Realejos, at the northern coast of the island of Tenerife. A photograph of the specimen was uploaded to the online database iNaturalist (see here).</b></p>
