It exists in various forms, including soil organic matter, plants, animals, geological deposits, atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO<sub>2</sub>), and dissolved in seawater. Increasing interest in diverse land-use systems for their potential to stabilize atmospheric CO<sub>2</sub> levels, mitigate CO<sub>2</sub> emissions, and enhance carbon sequestration. Agroforestry is recognized as a viable approach for both reducing CO<sub>2</sub> emissions and enhancing carbon sinks.</span></p>
