Current pharmacological treatments primarily focus on symptom management rather than addressing underlying<span> </span>causes.<span> </span>Recent<span> </span>advances<span> </span>in<span> </span>molecular<span> </span>medicine,<span> </span>gene<span> </span>therapy,<span> </span>microbiome<span> </span>research,<span> </span>and nanomedicine have introduced innovative therapeutic strategies for GIT disorders. This review explores<span> </span>cutting-edge<span> </span>pharmacological<span> </span>interventions,<span> </span>including<span> </span>biologics,<span> </span>small-molecule<span> </span>inhibitors, RNA-based therapies, probiotics, and nanotechnology-driven drug delivery systems. Additionally, challenges related to drug bioavailability, patient adherence, and regulatory approvals are discussed.
