| contents | <p><strong><span>Abstract</span></strong></p> <p><em><span>The institution of assessment is an integral part of the educational function and is connected with various parameters of education such as the identification of positive elements and weaknesses, the identification of problems, the prioritization of objectives, the assessment of educational planning, the utilization of the research efforts of the scientific and educational community, the assessment of educational work, and the professional development of teachers. Learning is an interrelated concept of assessment. In adult education, it has some special aspects in relation to the learning of children or adolescents, due to the differences in the experience, needs and motivations of adult learners. Adult education focuses on making learning more practical, connected with real needs and their daily lives, while teaching methods are adapted to be more flexible and encourage active participation. Through the present research and the formulation of the questionnaire, we wish to capture the views of teachers in second chance schools that are part of adult education regarding assessment. In this article, we examine the aspects of learning and assessment. The reference population is the entire teaching staff - hourly and seconded - of all Second Chance Schools in Greece.</span></em></p> <p><strong><span>Keywords:</span></strong><em><span> assessment, learning, second chance schools, adult education</span></em></p> |
