| contents | <div> <p>On October 24, 2024, the Early-Career Researchers (ECRs) from<a href="https://usher.ed.ac.uk/aim-cisc"> AIM-CISC</a> had the pleasure to host the<a href="https://github.com/aim-rsf/AIM-ECR-network/tree/main/ECR-days/Edinburgh-24-Oct"> AIM ECR Interdisciplinarity Day</a> at the University of Edinburgh. This full-day workshop was part of the training and networking opportunities offered by the AIM Research Support Facilities ECR Network, targeted at ECRs of the<a href="https://www.nihr.ac.uk/news/nihr-awards-ps12-million-artificial-intelligence-research-help-understand-multiple-long-term-conditions"> seven research projects funded by the NIHR</a> (AIM-CISC is one of them) as part of the AI for Multiple long-term conditions programme (AIM). </p> <p>Due to the large complexity of these interdisciplinary projects and thanks to the encouragement and support of the<a href="https://www.turing.ac.uk/research/research-projects/ai-for-multiple-long-term-conditions-research-support-facility"> AIM Research Support Facilities (AIM RSF)</a>, we decided to organise this event to provide </p> <ul> <li> <p>training on skills essential for cross-disciplinary collaborations, </p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>a space to sharing our experiences and lessons learned from working in the AIM projects </p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>guidance and discussion for how to successfully pursue an interdisciplinary research career </p> </li> </ul> <p>More details about the event can be found <a href="https://www.turing.ac.uk/research/research-projects/ai-for-multiple-long-term-conditions-research-support-facility/theme-3-community-building-and-training/aim-early-career-researcher-ecr-day-edinburgh">here</a>.</p> </div> |
