The benthic species itself has not been recorded deeper than 1000 m, but <i>G. abyssalis</i> can be collected in mid-water when trawls are hauled up from abyssal depths. Nevertheless, the records of <i>G. abyssalis</i> and <i>E. chacei</i>, respectively, are presented here as they were published in the literature.</p>
