contents
MotilA is an open-source Python pipeline for the automated analysis of microglial fine process motility from 5D (t, z, channel, y, x) two-photon time-lapse imaging data. It supports both single-stack and batch analysis modes and integrates seamlessly for standardized data management.

MotilA extracts motility metrics from segmented microglial stacks and includes preprocessing steps such as image registration and channel separation. A comprehensive example dataset is provided via Zenodo, along with tutorial notebooks and scripts to guide new users through the analysis workflow.

Citation notice:

A peer-reviewed publication describing the MotilA pipeline in detail is currently in preparation. Until the paper is published and a DOI becomes available, please cite this Zenodo record as a reference for the software. Once the publication is available, we kindly ask users to cite the article DOI instead.
