contents
The repo contains code to determine nitrogen yields (fluxes normalized by the watershed area) in the six large Arctic rivers between 2003 and up to 2023. Yields are calculated using the WRTDS method from discharge and concentration measurements reported by the Arctic Great Rivers Observatory. Yields are also predicted from watershed-level hydroclimate and environmental predictors using generalized additive models.

The code found in the 'src' folder includes:

WRTDS-calculations.R: compute yields using the WRTDS method

bic-model-selection.R: model yields using generaized additive models

Related manuscript:

Ruyle, B.J., Merder, J., Spencer, R.G.M., McClelland, J.W., Tank, S.E., Michalak, A.M.
