•

There are few book’s that bring back the innocence of childhood to our mind. Yes there is quite a lot of children’s fiction in the market, but to capture that innocence, make us nostalgic for those day’s of our live’s. We knew and loved and felt to be magical the book has to be something special. Swami and friend’s is just such a book from the start which speak of swaminathan (Swami) despising Monday morning’s, to doing whatever needs be to get what he needs’s the book has these scenes we can easily relate with from our own childhood. This book, I feel, can make us laugh and cry, bring back both happy and painful memories and take as back in time through those memories. This is not a book to look dept of characters or twist and turn. This is something cherish for the simplicity that it possesses that flow’s through it’s ever drop. Yes there is exploration of a more profound theme in the book, but the soul of the book is like it’s protagonist’s innocent and carefree. Swami and friends truely what you would call, an evergreen Indian classic.
