contents
In recent years, rising concerns over environmental issues—such as emissions, global warming, and
limited energy resources—have driven significant research into innovative methods for generating
electrical power. Among these, thermoelectric generators (TEGs) have emerged as a promising green
technology due to their ability to directly convert waste heat into electricity without the need to
account for the cost of thermal input energy. This study explores the potential of using waste heat
from a household iron box to generate electricity using TEGs. The primary goal is to harvest heat
typically lost during ironing and convert it into usable and storable electrical energy. This approach
not only supports energy conservation but also improves the overall efficiency of energy systems. The
research investigates the feasibility of small-scale thermal energy recovery systems for residential use,
focusing on energy efficiency and the performance of TEG technology. Experimental results
demonstrate the system’s ability to generate power under varying heat levels, validating the concept
of reclaiming waste heat for additional, sustainable electricity generation. Ultimately, the proposed
system shows potential for enhancing energy efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and
contributing to cleaner energy solutions.
