contents
Quantum mechanics posits that particles exhibit wave-like behavior, quantified by the de Broglie
wavelength λ_dB = h / (mv), where h is Planck's constant, m is the particle's mass, and v is its velocity.
The manifestation and observability of quantum wave phenomena, such as interference and diffraction,
within a physical system critically depend on the relationship between λ_dB and the system's
characteristic length scale, L.
