  • <p><span>Many Chinese older adults with limited English proficiency (LEP) face information overload during medical visits, discouraging them from pursuing further healthcare resources that often lack cultural or linguistic sensitivity. To address this gap, we take a two-pronged approach involving obtaining community feedback and developing a chatbot prototype. We conducted a preliminary interview with a community leader to gather information concerning community needs for AI tools. Alongside this, we have also been developing a prototype chat-based tool. </span>This poster summarizes our interview findings, prototype progress, and design considerations.</p>
