contents
This study explores the development of a sustainable thermal insulator using recycled paper, coco peat, and sawdust. The objective is to create an eco-friendly, costeffective alternative to conventional insulation materials while reducing waste and promoting sustainability. A composite material was formulated by blending recycled paper fibres, coco peat, and sawdust in varying proportions. Experimental analysis, including thermal conductivity tests, density measurements, and moisture resistance evaluations, was conducted to assess insulation performance. Results indicate that the composite exhibits low thermal conductivity, adequate structural integrity, and good moisture resistance, making it a viable alternative for thermal insulation applications. This research introduces a novel approach to thermal insulation using biodegradable and recycled materials. The findings contribute to sustainable construction practices by offering an environmentally friendly, efficient, and low-cost insulation solution.
