The policy introduces a 5+3+3+4 curricular structure, explicitly including children aged 3 to 8. It advocates for play-based, activity-oriented, and discovery-based pedagogies to ensure that learning is engaging and developmentally appropriate.</span></p> <p><span>This study provides a comprehensive analysis of NEP 2020’s Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) framework, highlighting the transformative potential of early childhood education in shaping future generations. It asserts that while the policy establishes a strong foundation, its success depends on sustained political will, increased investment, and active collaboration among government bodies, educators, parents, and communities. By addressing these challenges, NEP 2020 can create an inclusive, equitable, and high-quality ECCE system that not only improves individual outcomes but also contributes to broader societal progress. The paper concludes by emphasizing the urgent need for evidence-based strategies and continuous monitoring to ensure that the vision of universal foundational learning becomes a reality. </span></p> |
