- <p>This tutorial shows the basic steps to create a seismic catalogue using deep learning techniques. In particular, the day of 30 October 2016 (6.5 Norcia earthquake, central Italy seismic sequence) was processed. The tutorial involves the use of the Seisbench platform ( Seisbench (Woollam et al., 2022) and the following steps:</p> <ol> <li>downloading raw data (.mseed) by selecting specific latitude and longitude ranges;</li> <li>automatic picking using the convolutional neural networ (CNN) PhaseNet (Zhu and Beroza, 2019).</li> <li>arrival time association using unsupervised GaMMA clustering (Zhu et al., 2022).</li> </ol>
