- <p><span lang="EN-US">The study analyzes the techno-economic aspects of integrating hydrogen-methane blends into the energy systems of Russia and Germany to achieve decarbonization goals. Using the example of modernizing combined-cycle power plants (based on the SGT750 turbine in Germany and Russian equivalents), technological limitations are examined: combustion chamber modifications, corrosion risks, increased NOx emissions, and infrastructure challenges. It is established that 20–40% hydrogen blends are technically feasible with equipment upgrades but require material adaptation and safety system adjustments. Economic analysis confirms project viability under carbon pricing mechanisms. For Russia, key priorities include technology localization, climate adaptation, and integrating hydrogen CHP plants into export clusters. The results highlight the potential to reduce the carbon intensity of energy systems by 18–22% by 2030.</span></p>
