Women's self-help groups play an essential role in empowering women and promoting economic development, especially in rural communities. Despite their potential, these groups confront numerous problems, including financial constraints, a lack of technical skills, marketing issues, and insufficient institutional support. This study uses a qualitative research approach to investigate the sustainability issues and opportunities faced by women's self-help groups. The SCOT (Strengths, Challenges, Opportunities, and Threats) paradigm is used to thoroughly examine the sustainability difficulties that WSHGs confront and provide effective solutions. Key findings emphasize the necessity of skill development, technology integration, and improved institutional collaboration in overcoming obstacles and ensuring long-term survival. By resolving these issues, WSHGs can become sustainable platforms that empower women, reduce poverty, and contribute to societal progress.

Keywords: Microfinance Women’s Self-Help Groups, SCOT Analysis, Sustainability

JEL Classification Number: G21, D71, O17
|
