- <p>This study investigates the relationship between the amount of time senior secondary students spend on digital social media and their academic performance, measured through half-yearly examination scores. The research draws on a sample of 800 students from five Kendriya Vidyalayas in Patna, Bihar, employing quantitative methods including descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analysis. Results indicate a statistically significant negative correlation between prolonged social media use (exceeding three hours per day) and academic achievement. The findings underscore the necessity for digital discipline and provide recommendations for educators, parents, and policymakers to mitigate the detrimental effects of excessive screen time.</p>
