| contents | <p>Abstract <br>The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Lima Puluh Kota Regency Government website as a public <br>information media. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method through observation, interview and documentation techniques <br>to obtain primary data by observing the facts in the field. Primary data was also obtained from informants by conducting interview <br>techniques. Using the concept of effectiveness from the Website Effectiveness Concept from Aprilia, et al. (2014) with 6 <br>dimensions, namely the role of government, the role of the website, objectives, content, access reach and interaction. Using <br>documentation and archiving techniques during the implementation of the official website of the Lima Puluh Kota Regency <br>Government from the Lima Puluh Kota Regency Communication, Informatics and Statistics Office. The data analysis technique <br>uses the NVIVO 12 Plus software tool which can assist the author in coding (codes) as well as processing and analyzing through <br>the available features. Informants were determined using purposive sampling techniques. The study involved 9 informants selected <br>through purposive sumption techniques starting from within the Communication and Information Office and the general public <br>in Lima Puluh Kota Regency. The results of the study show that the official website of the Lima Puluh Kota Regency government <br>is said to be quite effective as a public information media, when viewed from the indicator of the role of the website which has <br>been able to become a place for the public to obtain information, but has not been maximized due to the lack of human resources <br>from the government in managing and running the website, as well as the lack of willingness and ability of the Lima Puluh Kota <br>Regency community. <br>Keywords: Effectiveness, Website, Public Information.</p> |
