contents
The study collected 10-minute interval data on earth-air flow and atmospheric pressure at 17 monitoring points in Mogao Grotto 61 from July 2022 to December 2024. Key findings include:
Annual scale: Atmospheric pressure exhibits a dominant 18-month cycle with a secondary 10-month cycle, while earth-air flow shows a primary 28-month cycle and a secondary 18-month cycle.
Monthly scale: Pressure oscillates with 27-day and 10-day periods, matched by earth-air flow at 22-day and 9-day cycles.
Daily scale: Both parameters show a 21-hour periodicity, with earth-air flow peaks/troughs leading pressure by several hours.
Wavelet coherence analysis confirms a negative correlation between the two variables across time scales, with earth-air flow preceding pressure changes, validated by 95% confidence thresholds in energy spectral analysis.
