- <p>Generally, the educational process has been dominated by two modes of education viz. face<br>to-face education and distance education. Both modes of education may have an impact on <br>the academic performance of students. The present study focuses on strengthening the <br>distance education mode for the enhancement of overall academic growth of learners. As <br>distance education has revolutionized the whole learning process and provided opportunities <br>for the students to access education from anywhere and at any time, this paper studies the <br>concept, historical perspective, attributes, challenges, and strategies to strengthen distance <br>education. </p>
