-
A constructed stormwater wetland (CSW) was retrofitted to an existing retention basin in 1999 and redesigned in 2010. It has been monitored continuously since 2012 at a five-minute timeseries resolution and with instrumentation that would enable a water balance calculation. This ten-year dataset allows for an in-depth analysis of the hydrologic pathways and management in the constructed wetland. Using physical equations and modeled data (based on real-time measurements), a balance of all influent, stored, and effluent water within the constructed wetland was constructed.

The event-wise water balance data (summed totals of individual water balance components) of all events used in assessing the wetland's performance in this study, the Python code to construct the water balance from the raw data, and the R code to generate the figures are provided in this dataset. This dataset is associated with the forthcoming publication: A Complete Water Balance of a Constructed Stormwater Wetland (McGauley et al. 2025).
