- <p><span>The research investigated the preparation trajectory for the training of Psychology professionals who wish to work as palliative psychologists. The method used was exploratory field research, based on qualitative analysis, with 16 professionals with experience in palliative care (PC). The data was analyzed using thematic content analysis, defended by psychologist Laurence Bardin. The results were presented in three categories: interest in the topic, sense of search for palliative care; death as part of life, mourning and finitude; essential knowledge for Psychology professionals; and trajectory of the Psychology professional to work in PC. The research sought to explain the difficulties and gaps encountered by these professionals in training courses</span></p>
