contents <p>The present invention discloses a filament extrusion system (100) for 3D printing applications. The system (100) comprises an extruder setup (50) comprising an extruder barrel (52), a screw mechanism (54), a heating element (56) for melting plastic pellets and a nozzle (58) for ejecting melted pellets out of barrel (52) in form of filaments. A cooling mechanism (60) for regulating temperature of filament to ensure rapid solidification of extruded filament. A water bath (70) for cooling extruded filament from barrel (52). A puller mechanism (80) pulling extruded filament out of extruder at controlled speed to maintain uniform filament diameter and multiple multi-span PID controllers for maintaining temperature of composition inside barrel (52) and a filament diameter sensor for monitoring diameter of extruded filament in real-time and providing feedback to puller mechanism (80) for adjustment of pulling speed and targeting filament diameter for compatibility with standard 3D printers. </p> <p>No. of Pages : 30 No. of Claims : 10 </p> <p> </p>
