| contents | <p><span>For the past three years, I have included citizen science with the GLOBE Observer Program as part of the environmental science curriculum (ENVS101) of the Early College Academy (ECA) of Trinity Washington University, Washington, DC. In particular, the three-hour laboratory class includes some hands-on activities, nature journaling, and outdoor citizen science observations using the GLOBE Observer app. This case study shows how to integrate citizen science in the college-level environmental science course using the GLOBE Observer Program to enhance student engagement by doing real-world data collection, contribute to the data collection of various observations, and foster a deeper understanding of the environment.</span></p> |
