| contents | <p>This article analyses the impact of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) on the logic of professional competence development, with a particular focus on upskilling and reskilling. Starting from the observation of a growing gap between the pace of technological change and the ability of individuals to adapt, the author presents a shift from the traditional competence-based approach towards a more flexible and responsive capability-based development. The article is based on secondary source analysis (including WEF and DeVry reports), selected theoretical frameworks on competence development, and reflections from the IT sector, which is characterised by high volatility. The proposed experimental model, gAI-PT4I4, which integrates LLM, RAG, VR, and sentiment analysis, illustrates the potential for dynamic and personalised competence development in real time. The article concludes with an attempt to outline a new competence architecture, modular, co-created, embedded in real work environments, and supported by GenAI acting as a personalised tutor.</p> |
