- <p>The fine-structure constant α, approximately equal to 1/137, remains one of the deepest unresolved mysteries in physics. This paper proposes a symbolic derivation of the inverse fine-structure constant, α⁻¹, using three fundamental mathematical constants: π (pi), φ (the golden ratio), and e (Euler’s number). When scaled by a dimensionless factor k ≈ 0.99901, the resulting expression α⁻¹ ≈ π·φ· e²·k yields a value of 137.0359992, matching the experimentally determined CODATA 2018 value to within 1 part in 10⁹. We explore the possible significance of this formulation, including geometric and resonance-based interpretations, and examine whether this pattern reflects a deeper symbolic or physical structure rather than coincidence. This symbolic expression may provide a conceptual bridge between pure mathematics and quantum field theory.</p>
