| contents | <p>Due to its transcultural features, manga stands out as one of the most versatile tools to raise awareness on interculturality. However, to implement this medium in the university classroom, it is necessary to understand how intercultural elements are represented in it. The aim of this research is to qualitatively analyse the cultural references included in some of the most relevant stories of Aoyama’s Detective Conan in the light of Katan’s (2004) cultural studies.
