contents
Abstract: Ozone depletion secondary to increased greenhouse gasses emission has resulted in lesser protection against the harmful ultraviolet radiations. Ultraviolet-B radiations are more harmful as they are poorly filtered by the ozone layer. Both the surface and deep dwelling aquatic organisms are affected by these harmful radiations. This chapter deals with the effects, adaptations and mitigation strategies in the fishes exposed to ultraviolet radiations.
