| contents | <p><span lang="EN-US">Herbs are most preferred sources for the formulation of drugs to treat different health problems. <em>Heliotropium ovalifolium</em>, a herb, usually grow near river areas. Pharmacologically, it is not more explored</span><span lang="EN-US">. Therefore, it is selected for evaluation of phytochemical analysis, cytotoxicity and TLC (Thin Layer chromatography). The results revealed that it contents secondary metabolites like tannin, saponin, phenolic compounds, reducing sugar and alkaloids. Cytotoxicity analysis revealed that n-hexane and ethanol showed 100 % death rate. Hydroethanolic extract showed 6 spots on TLC plate in three selected mobile phases. Present study highlights the medicinal and pharmacological potential of </span><em><span lang="EN-US">H. ovalifolium.</span></em></p> |
