| contents | <p><strong><em><span>Abstract</span></em></strong></p> <p><em><span>The socio-economic status (SES) of tribal communities remains a critical area of study, given its implications for equitable development and inclusion. This paper examines the SES of tribal communities in Madhya Pradesh, focusing on identifying challenges and uncovering opportunities for advancement. Employing a quantitative research design, data were collected from 460 respondents using a standardized Socio-Economic Status Questionnaire developed by Sunil Kumar Upadhyay. The findings highlight significant disparities in income, education, housing, access to basic services, and land ownership among tribal groups. Key challenges include low education attainment, poor housing conditions, and limited access to healthcare and sanitation facilities. However, opportunities for development lie in targeted interventions, improved resource allocation, and fostering community participation. The study emphasizes the need for data-driven policies and collaborative efforts to bridge socio-economic gaps, empowering tribal communities and fostering sustainable development. The primary challenges identified include low educational attainment, inadequate housing, and limited access to healthcare and sanitation facilities. Despite these challenges, opportunities for development exist through targeted interventions, improved resource allocation, and enhanced community participation. The research emphasizes the necessity of data-driven policies and collaborative efforts to bridge socioeconomic gaps, thereby empowering tribal communities and fostering sustainable development.</span></em></p> |
