  • <p>In 2019, IBM conducted a remarkable quantum experiment simulating the reversal of time within<br>a controlled quantum system. This work revisits that experiment through the lens of a theoretical<br>framework which defines a minimum kinetic energy threshold necessary for coherent state evolution.<br>By analyzing the connection between experimental fidelity and coherence time, we argue that a<br>minimum velocity is required to preserve quantum coherence long enough to allow meaningful state<br>transitions and reversibility. The findings suggest that IBM’s experiment supports the concept of<br>a critical velocity in quantum systems, highlighting a path toward the stabilization of qubits for<br>future quantum technologies.</p>
