NHMO.</p><p><b>Biology:</b> The white to orange or pinkish larvae develop in parenchymal galls on the leaves of <i>Hieracium</i> spp. and <i>Pilosella</i> spp. (Asteraceae). Each larva develops inside a blotch which is often strongly discolored red to purple. There are often many galls per leaf. Multivoltine; pupation and hibernation in the soil.</p><p><b>Distribution:</b> Widespread in Europe including Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.</p>
