contents
There is increasing recognition that agility and software metrics are imperative for the efficiency and
effectiveness of contemporary firms' information systems as they face intense competition, globalization, and time-to-market pressures. It is important for an organisation to know when to end the lifecycle of its information system if it is no longer able to perform and conform to the modifications the organisation desires. However, most of the various approaches presented in the literature on information systems measurements such as Fuzzy Mathematics and Analytics Hierarchy Process (AHP) are qualitative and usually need to be evaluated by domain experts subjectively. There is a need to adopt a quantitative method to get a more accurate measurement of information systems. This paper seeks to strengthen TVET's capacity to adopt agility and software metrics methodologies for information systems measurement in order to determine and lengthen the information systems lifecycle. This will enable organisations in the industry to remain competitive and meet the industrial needs of consumers.
