| contents |
This manuscript presents statistically significant evidence for a coherent amplitude modulation at 0.090 Hz in the gravitational wave strain envelopes of events GW150914 and GW190521, based on public data from the LIGO–Virgo Open Science Center. A two-stage model comparison shows that the modulated waveform significantly outperforms a chirp-only baseline (p < 10⁻¹⁵). The anomaly is consistent across detectors and observing runs, with no known instrumental origin. This version has been submitted to Physical Review Letters on July 21, 2025, and is provided here as a public preprint under APS open-access policy.
|
