contents
Writing this book, Embedded Systems Architecture and Programming, has been a deeply fulfilling endeavor made possible by the support, guidance, and encouragement of many individuals and institutions.

First and foremost, I express my profound gratitude to the Indian Naval Academy, Kerala, for providing an inspiring academic environment and the resources necessary to pursue this work. The institution’s commitment to excellence in technical education has been a foundation for my own professional growth and dedication.

I am thankful to my teachers and mentors throughout my academic journey—from my formative years at the Nizam Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad, to my advanced studies at the University College of Engineering, JNTU Anantapur, and presently GITAM University, Visakhapatnam. Their unwavering encouragement and intellectual rigor have shaped my understanding and passion for electronics and communication engineering.

A special note of appreciation goes to the many Naval cadets I have had the honor to guide. Their curiosity, creativity, and drive have continually inspired me. Several of their academic projects gaining recognition for innovation and practical relevance reaffirm the power of mentorship and collaborative learning.

I am also grateful to the wider academic community—colleagues, researchers, and peers—who have generously shared their knowledge and insights at conferences, workshops, and faculty development programs. Staying engaged with emerging trends in sensors, robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT) has enriched the content and perspective of this book.

My heartfelt thanks extend to my family and friends whose patience and encouragement have been invaluable throughout the years. Their support has been the pillar enabling me to balance teaching, research, and writing.

Finally, I dedicate this book to future engineers and technologists. It is my hope that this resource empowers them to build innovative, efficient, and impactful embedded systems that address real-world challenges.

G.
