-
This report analyzes individual use cases for the STRATEGIC Project, focusing on digital health technologies (DHTs) in clinical research and trials. We selected seven use cases from Cameroon, Ghana, Mozambique, Kenya, and South Africa, examining the involved entities, implemented technologies, and their applications. The report details the selection process, qualitative research findings from interviews and site visits, and includes policy recommendations. Key insights highlight best practices for data security and patient protection in line with WHO protocols. Our findings stress that investing in DHTs is crucial for enhancing diagnostic efficiency, communication between clinicians and patients, and improving remote consultations and patient recruitment for trials.
