contents
Large centralized “smog towers” struggle with cost, footprint, and coverage. Smog‑Mini proposes the opposite approach: thousands of ultra‑low‑cost, PV‑balanced street‑level units combining electrostatic particulate capture with an optional 25‑L photobioreactor (PBR) for local CO₂ uptake. Relative to v4, v4.1 corrects hardware physics and logistics: the ioniser is specified as negative‑corona 10–12 kV (not 1 kV), an ozone‑scrubber and O₃ monitor are added, mass is reported as dry vs wet, the Bill of Materials (BoM) and PV sizing are made realistic, and performance targets are harmonised. Field validation remains pending; we publish open designs, test protocols, and conservative targets to enable replication. v4.1.1 adds: a night‑energy plan (25–30 Ah or Night‑Saver), Deutsch–Anderson efficiency sizing, O₃‑aware firmware, a maintenance SOP, baseline flow‑shaping A/B, a deployment sizing example, and an optical co‑sensing module (NIR‑pumped multicolor thin‑film) for non‑contact NOx/O₃ signatures.
