New Beaut.Pl. 1869:6 (t.), 13.1869.</p><p>TYPE: BOLIVIA.s.d.(fl), <i>M.Pearce 708</i> (HOLOTYPE: K barcode #000582867).</p><p><i>Distribution.—</i> Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, and Bolivia, at 200–2000 m.</p><p><i><i>Discussion.—</i> Mandevilla boliviensis</i> belongs to the mandevilla group and is recognized by its glabrous leaf blades, cuneate or obtuse basally, and corolla infundibuliform, white, with the throat yellow inside and the tube 28–45 mm long. This species has a large distributional range but has been collected only a few times. For additional synonymy, see Morales (1995) and Ulloa-Ulloa et al. (2018).</p><p>Specimen examined: <b>ECUADOR. Napo:</b> Mera, 20 Dec 1955 (fl), <i>Asplund 18922</i> (R, S).</p>
