- <p>SolidGel is an innovative injectable smart hydrogel platform for localized treatment of solid tumors. It combines hyaluronic acid (HA) with nanoclay (Laponite XLG) and a synergistic drug duo—metformin and disulfiram. The hydrogel enables controlled local release, where metformin starves cancer cells and disulfiram, in the presence of copper, selectively kills resistant cancer stem cells. This approach minimizes systemic toxicity while maximizing therapeutic efficacy, offering a cost-effective and clinically translatable solution for solid tumor therapy.</p>
