| contents | <p><b>Genus <i>Olmia</i> Legalov et Perkovsky, gen. nov.</b></p><p>https://zoobank.org/ urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act: 3716F7C9-5FEB-4C2C-ADFB-16C6573C78EB</p><p><b>Type species.</b> <i>Olmia drevlyanica</i> Legalov et Perkovsky, sp. nov.</p><p><b>Etymology.</b> The new genus is named in honour of our late friend Massimo Olmi (1942-2024) world authority on Dryinidae, Embolemidae and Sclerogibbidae.</p><p><b>Diagnosis.</b> Body 1.5 mm, black-brown, covered with dark decumbent setae; labrum transverse; eyes coarsely faceted, slightly emarginate near antennal insertions; antennae clavate, extends beyond humeri; eleventh antennomere 1.9 times as long as antennomere ten; base of pronotum subequal to distance across elytral humeri, disc with strong paired basal pits; elytra oval, widest at middle; elytral striae indistinct; procoxal cavities separate by prosternal process; mesepimera reaching widely separated mesocoxal cavities; mesoventrite not carinate; metepisternum narrow; protibia/tarsi=1.3; tibial spurs small; tarsal formula 4-4-4; wings well developed.</p><p><b>Comparison.</b> The new genus differs from <i>Neotriphyllus</i> by widely separated mesocoxal cavities, very long last antennomere and small unicolorous body. <i>Neotriphyllus</i> is bigger (3.00– 4.25 mm) with a pattern of yellow maculae on elytra. This pattern could be saved in Rovno amber (i. e. Kirichenko-Babko <i>et al.</i> 2024).</p> |
