| contents | <p><strong><span lang="EN-US">Tourism is the main revenue source for modern economies and Indian tourism cater to largest number of Tourists from abroad as well as domestic visitors thus contribute to major revenue generation source for different states of India. Punjab comprises of rich culture and heritage. Its location is remarkable for make linkage to Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh Tourism. Gradually its share of tourism has increased in last many years. Huge investment in developing infrastructure, marketing and publicity has led to increase in visitors’ attraction towards different monuments, historical and religious visits. Almost in previous decade number of visitors have doubled leading it to 9th ranked state in India for Tourism Industry. Several places are having potential and many more efforts are required to improve tourism industry for development of state as well as for increasing employment opportunities for people living in Punjab. Present Paper focus at different potentials, and suggestive measures to increase revenue of Punjab through developing unexplored areas for Tourism.</span></strong></p> |
