The aim is to specify how values such as freedom, participation, cooperation, responsibility, discipline, equality, justice, and respect are present in the subject ‘Contemporary Theories and Institutions of Education’ in the third year of the Primary Education Degree. The methodology used was qualitative and descriptive. It concludes that teaching these values can have benefits in the training of future teachers because it contains topics relevant to life in a democracy.</p>
