| contents | <p dir="ltr">The Early Helladic cemetery at Asteria Glyfada represents a key archaeological locus for understanding prehistoric Attica, combining evidence of metallurgical activities with an extensive burial ground featuring Cycladic figurines, obsidian tools, and ceramic assemblages. This paper presents the creation of a digital twin of the cemetery, integrating advanced documentation techniques with legacy excavation records. High-resolution photogrammetry, laser scanning, and GIS formed the core of the data acquisition strategy, supported by the digitization of hand-drawn plans and archival records. Beyond geometric recording, the approach addresses limitations of conventional documentation by embedding both tangible and intangible elements into a cohesive framework. The digital twin supports spatial queries, comparative analysis of burial practices, and cross-referencing of artefact distributions, providing new insights into Early Helladic trade networks and ritual behaviour. Usability assessments highlight its potential as a resource for interdisciplinary research, educational dissemination, and virtual exploration. By situating the case study within the evolving discourse on cultural heritage digital twins, the paper contributes a replicable methodology for managing complex archaeological datasets and underscores the transformative role of digital twins in archaeological preservation, interpretation, and sustainable access.</p> |
