contents <p><strong><em><span lang="EN-US">The Thousand Islands is now one of the tourist destinations that is in demand by both foreign and domestic tourists. The natural beauty that remains pristine is a key factor in attracting tourists, and the numerous activities available also make the Thousand Islands a special destination. In line with the current development of information technology, the role and contribution of this technology can be used to improve the performance of tourism development. The study was conducted to measure the contribution of information technology and the role of society in utilizing information technology to support the sustainable development of the tourism sector. The IT balance scorecard method is used to analyze the performance of information technology through several perspectives, such as contribution to the organization, user orientation, operational performance, and future orientation. The results of the study indicate that there are factors of </span></em></strong><strong><em><span lang="EN-US">Quality of Tourism Knowledge, Tourism Process flow, Simplicity of Application Use, and Tourism helpdesk a</span></em></strong><strong><em><span lang="EN-US">s the main factors that must be considered to support the success of tourism development in terms of utilizing information technology.</span></em></strong></p>
