contents <p><span>The Burmese python (Python bivittatus), one of the largest snakes in Southeast Asia, exhibits unique ecological behavioral traits, including ambush and prowl, entanglement hunting, energy regulation, and regional migration. Inspired by the ecological behaviors of the Burmese python, this paper proposes a new heuristic optimization algorithm, the Burmese Python Optimization Algorithm (BPOA). By mimicking the python's predation strategy, the algorithm combines local search, global exploration, dynamic contraction, and migration mechanisms to achieve a balance between global search and local convergence in optimization problems. This paper describes in detail the algorithm's mathematical model, position update formula, energy regulation mechanism, and convergence strategy, providing a mathematical foundation for subsequent theoretical analysis and applications.</span></p>
