| contents | <p>The Strategic Control Profile - High Functioning Variant (SCP-HFV) is a proposed theoretical framework describing a covert form of antisociality that's characterized by high self-control, deliberate impression management, emotional detachment, and calculated manipulation all while maintaining intact or superior occupational, academic, and social functioning. Drawing on theoretical frameworks such a as the Hierarchical Taxonomy of Psychopathology (HiTOP) and the Research Domain Criteria (RDoC), the construct is positioned at high antagonism and detachment with low disinhibition, along with intact executive functioning and advanced Theory of Mind. Predicted correlates include high Machiavellianism and primary psychopathy scores, along with reduced impulsivity, and context-dependent prosociality. By distinguishing SCP-HFV from overtly antisocial profiles, this model addresses a gap in current psychopathology research and invites an empirical study of adaptive, covert strategy in high-functioning individuals.</p> |
