•
Biodiversity is the foundation of life. The life support system of our world is biodiversity; we rely on it for the food, water and air we breathe. Because biodiversity is essential to our survival, we must literally conserve it. The sustainable use of resources, which includes both protection and exploitation, is known as conservation. A component of conservation is preservation, which is the act of keeping something the same without changing or modifying it. Another aspect of biodiversity conservation is sustainable development. Development that satisfies present demands without capacity of future generations to satisfy their own needs is referred to here. Sustainable development, which guarantees biodiversity conservation, is the outcome of striking a balance between the environment, development, and society. Only until appropriate enforcement and implementation laws and environmental institutions are in place would this be viable.
